I'm leaving on a jet...train

We decided to take Amtrak to Boston this year instead of an airplane. Last year, we had some issues with the airplane and thought we'd try a different route. I'm not sure which was better. The train was enjoyable, but a much longer trip.

The train station was neat. Wooden benches and some lovely graffiti on the bathroom walls. I'd forgotten how often people liked to write that they would be in love forever. Cael got a little antsy waiting to board the train, but all in all it went well.

Monster faces. What else is there to do in the train station?

The kids did really well on the trip. The portable DVD player was a wonderful idea. Whoever invented that gets a high five from me. The kids were quiet and well behaved for the whole trip.

It may not have been the most comfortable sleeping conditions, but at least the seats were more spacious than on a plane. I would definitely travel by train again, but next time I want a sleeper car.
