Oh So Shiny!

We finally got a new stove. It was the last appliance in the kitchen that came with the house when we bought it. One of the dials didn't work correctly anymore. It still worked, but to turn the burner off you actually had to turn the dial to high. We decided that we'd get an over the stove microwave while we were at it and free up some counter space in our kitchen.

I didn't get a before shot. Shawn had already removed the vent hood and was starting on removing some of the tile before I remembered to take pictures.

Shawn had to remove two rows of tile, which he was hoping he wouldn't have to do. Tile removal made a large mess in my kitchen.

Why do projects always take so much longer than we think they'll take? Three hours after he started, Shawn got the microwave in.

Half an hour later, the stove was installed and the kitchen was one again clean and neat. It looks so shiny!
